I have been missing in action...so to speak...juggling various things has kept me too busy to even get into the blogs. Tonight I made a special effort to catch up with some of my blog reading- and I figured I'd toss in a short post!
Let's see....what are some of the things I've been juggling? My hubby fell very ill last Monday. It was one of those freak things- he was fine one moment and then horribly ill the next. Thankfully he is back to himself - almost 100 percent.
There were programs to attend- people to meet- places to be- you get the idea. I had to schedule myself to breathe.
I meet many people who have the complaint of being 'bored' with life- and my husband and I have discussed this on countless occasions..."What would it feel like to be bored???"...."What would it feel like to be lonely??"....I guess these are some of the things I should be grateful for...that I have no clue what it feels like to be bored...that I can't fathom being lonely...what a blessing!!! Sometimes we just take things for granted...we even gripe a bit..."Oh I'm soo busy" or "Oh my, I'm 'peopled' out"...not realizing these are such great blessings!!
Whether I'm sitting here at this computer or I'm missing in action- I am drowning in blessings!
Herein lies a labyrinth of memories...past and present... this is best navigated by going to the very beginning of the blog... it is in the first posts, from March 2008, in which the heart of this blog is found

The Hurrier I go...the Behinder....
Every day I think..."maybe next week will be less busy." ...and then next week comes....and I am just as busy. :) So I sit and think, "What am I actually busy doing?" I think I am busy just being busy-- listening to people, attempting to be organized, working on projects, squeezing in family time, and occasionally blogging. My daily planner looks like Picasso painted across the pages- you know those shows where someone is murdered and the detectives come in to look through the victim's things? I've always wondered what a detective would do with my daily planner- they would need a deciphering code to figure out what all the scribbles are about. I even have some of my notations in my own special code- I invented it years ago and tend to use it when I don't want anyone to know what I'm writing.
The detectives should not even bother to look for a pda or at the calendar on my phone- because I've always stuck with the old fashioned written daily planners. I tried the pda for awhile (a few years ago) - I would forget to check the updates and I missed appointments. Hmmm...now that I'm thinking about it, I even have missed appointments with my hand scribbled daily planner. Oh well, I guess the next entry needs to be:
June 13th 2011- try not to be so busy being busy!! :)

Snores and more
Snores drift across the room and I feel at peace. My world is back to 'normal' or as normal as it can get. Hubby is nestled in his side of the bed and I sit here getting ready to head to my side of the bed.
Both my sisters are gone. My friend from Japan and her husband and daughter and son are gone. The house is unusually quiet...except for the snores.
The calendar in front of me taunts me with its little boxes. Each date calls out, "We are filling up fast with all sorts of appointments and schedules and things to do"
"Hurry, carve out some time or else there will be none left for you" "August and October will be here before you know it and both your darling daughters will be married"
I simply sigh. My foot bumps the box at my feet. I will not open it tonight. It is stuffed full of the 'nitty gritty' things I have pushed aside while my sisters were here. I will attend to those things tomorrow, in between all the scribbled appointments on my calendar. It is too much to think of tonight.
For now I will listen to the snores and mumbled what dear Scarlett said. "I can't think about that right now. If I do, I'll go crazy. I'll think about that tomorrow."
